It’s now possible to use Skype, Zoom or any other video streaming program to make a really cool presentations – here’s how.

Recent lockdowns have seen many people working from home for the first time – but there’s only a certain amount you can do with the little camera stuck on top of your laptop  – or the one on your phone.

Demonstrating products or making sales pitches, whether B-to-B and B-to-C situations, is ideally done in-person and a Zoom or Skype call runs a poor second.  But recent video  streaming technology means it’s possible to do something a lot more polished with good-quality HD video cameras and decent audio, together with slides or videos played in from any PC or Mac.

We’ve recently recommended a two-camera set-up for a client with the following specs:

  • A Blackmagic ATEM mini switcher
  • 2 x Canon HD cameras
  • 2 x Manfrotto video tripods
  • 1 x Rode radio microphone with charging and storage solution
  • Neewer LED lighting
  • All video and mains cabling

… and the price for the kit is under £1500!

We’ll be posting more details soon and lots of tiops about how to put on the best show, but in the meantime here’s our shopping list, with built-in Amazon links for your convenience. Links open in a new tab so you won’t lose your place here.
